In the laboratories, an outing is scheduled to meet peoples physically, in order to be aware of difficulties that a person with disabilities in wheelchairs can encounter when immersed in traffic in a city like Rome.
Together, they face the inconvenience of the famous “architectural barriers”, which often prevents a disabled person to live comfortably in urban everyday life, up to the double-parked cars blocking the flow, or worse, parked in front of the ramps, as well as the lack of these ramps on buses and trams.
Often, the outings are also made to places like museums and public places to discover if they are accessible or less to people with disabilities.
Starting from the direct experiences of each of them, we analyzed the real issues, identifying problems so more consciously, aids and possible solutions in order to facilitate the movement and life of people with disability and discomfort.
